Originally from Spokane, Washington, Zack started playing tennis at the age of 12 and was a competitive junior through high school. He went on to play #1 singles and doubles for Spokane Community College, winning the NWAACC conference in 2011 and 2012. After graduating from community college, Zack then transferred to Seattle University, where he continued competing and completed his bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
While attending community college, Zack worked at the local tennis club as a lifeguard, as well as a coach for the junior summer programs. It was then that he first discovered his love for teaching tennis. Upon graduating from Seattle University, he chose to pursue a career as a tennis professional and began gaining experience in coaching students of all ages and abilities in the Seattle area. Then in 2019, after joining Peter Burwash International, completing PBI training, and becoming a USTA Elite Professional, Zack coached at many of PBI’s premier locations, such as Carmel Valley Ranch, JW Marriott Desert Springs, Silverado Resort and Spa, and was the Director of Tennis at Stonegate Country Club.
